Cleft Lip and Palate

Cleft lip and palate is the most common birth condition affecting 1:700 birth children. Having trained at top multi-disciplinary centres in Birmingham, UK and St. Louis, USA, I bring a team-based approach to children with cleft lip and palate.

I work closely with our feeding specialist, dental and speech therapy colleagues. I address the full nose and lip issue in one surgery. I believe in early surgical repair at 3 months for cleft lip, and 6 months for cleft palate. The technique that I use to address the nose, reduces the chances of needing a secondary rhinoplasty in the future.

  • Primary lip/palate repair
  • Fistula repair
  • Secondary lip/nose revision
  • Alveolar bone grafting
  • Maxillary advancement
  • Cleft rhinoplasty
